I noticed that not many of the Grade 5's brought home their science homework with them this weekend, so I am posting the task to our website so they can complete it for Monday. The task is to write a journal on the following question:
"Think about the experiment we did with mining for chocolate chips. What cookie was easier to get the chocolate chips out of? How does this experiment relate to the mining of coal for energy? What is the problem with using coal (a non-renewable source of energy) as a main source of energy?"
If your child has left their science duo tang at school, they can complete this assignment on lined paper, and hand it in for Monday. Thanks, Mr. Anderson
