Just a reminder to parents that progress reports go home tomorrow with your child. Please use these as a conversation piece with them about how they are progressing this year. These reports will simply state how many assignments have been collected for each subject, how many your child has completed, and how many are still incomplete. Please sign and return them by Friday of this week. Any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at the school.
Also, we have reached the end of our science unit on energy in grade five. The students are expected to complete their assignment on "which is the most effective source of energy" by Wednesday, and give a short (1 min) presentation on why they feel that the form of energy they chose (coal, solar, wind, or biomass) is the most effective. This assignment was given to the students on Thursday, so they should have a good start on it by now. The criteria for grading is also on the handout, so the students know what is expected of them.
